Many politicians promise lower taxes. By the time they’re done they’re taking more of our money. The best way to start cutting taxes is to reduce the number of them.
Most state revenue comes from a small number of sources, mainly personal income tax, sales tax, and corporate tax. If we cut spending even a small amount, we can eliminate nearly all the other taxes. Many of these taxes are inefficient, costing as much or more to collect than they bring in.
By reducing the number of taxes, we make it easier for people to live their lives and easier for businesses to create jobs.
