The first debate between myself and Congressman McNulty is here: Redlich – McNulty Debate Video from SACC-TV. I recommend downloading first (right-click and “save target as”) and then double-clicking the file. It will probably take several minutes to download on RoadRunner, and far too long on dialup or other slow connections. Thanks to Todd Wilson from SACC-TV for encoding the video so I could do this.
It will be aired this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday at 9 am, on WNYA-51. For most people that’s Channel 4 on cable, but a complete list of channels is below.

Good debate.
Why didn’t McNulty just admit straight out he sold his vote for the defense bill because he got an additional $15,000,000 in pork for his district logrolled in.
That is certainly what he implied.
No matter how nice of a guy he appears to be, in any of those issues that you both agree about, I see a man that would sell his principles for a price.
I can’t agree with Ray’s comment about McNulty’s selling his principles for a price. With few exceptions, McNulty has stuck to his principles for 18 years. He is staunchly pro-union and believes in big government. Pork is just part of the Washington (and Albany) mindset.
The weak part is that in the world of pork, getting $15 million out of a bill that spends nearly $500 billion is not getting your fair share. A fair share would be over $1 billion, so he’s only getting about 1% of the fair share. If you follow the Washington mindset then he’s a failure for getting so little of the pork.
Ha! I get your point.
I was just reading between his words in his response to voting yea for the so-called defense bill. He gave no justification for the defense part of the bill, but jumped right in with justifying the earmarks for his district, as if that was the only thing that interested him.
Another thing is the canard that he helps creates jobs, he is quick to point out that he took other peoples money and transferred that wealth to private sector business to create jobs. Does he not see the unseen effects; the money if it was kept in the hands of the people who it rightfully belonged too would have been put to better use to create jobs without his help?
As the great Bastiat said:
“When a man is impressed by the effect that is seen and has not yet learned to discern the effects that are not seen, he indulges in deplorable habits, not only through natural inclination, but deliberately.”
No talk of nukes in Israel.
War on drugs, you never hear that anywhere else.
Good show guys. You both end with your self-respect.
